As the new season approaches, we put out there to our Premier league rivals to give us their preview for their teams upcoming season. Enjoy this from Evan Lucas.

This season will be a bounce back season for the Blues if all goes well. Beginning this year is the Conte Era, and with him we hope he will usher in a new brand of Chelsea football. He has brought in some new players such as  Michy Batshuayi from Marseille and N’Golo Kante. Both of these signings should make their position more challenging, Batshuayi being a striker and Kante a midfield player.

Us Pensioner fans were sad to hear that Nainggolan is more likely to choose a Roma stay instead of a move to Stamford Bridge, which would have surely made the midfield competitive. As the transfer window is still open, anything is possible but as it stands these transfers will be all for a Chelsea with no Champions League to offer.

Looking at the way most teams are stacking up, I see 3 particular teams that worry me the most. 1st is Manchester City, with the new signings of İlkay Gündoğan and Nolito, as well as the staying players of Aguero, David Silva and Joe Hart.

This team, while strong, has weaknesses. Unless they sign Bonucci from the time of this preview to the season, their defense will be average at best with Otamendi and Kompany. Alas a stout Chelsea defense will be needed to stop this attacking force.

Secondly the other Manchester, United that is. With the Additions of Zlatan and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, they should be a force to be reckoned with in the midfield as well as up front, with Martial, Memphis, and even Juan Mata.

New-Chelsea-kit-for-201516Lastly the third threat to Chelsea would be good ol’ Arsenal. Yes Gooners, I see you as a threat. With Xhaka coming in, as well as whatever that striker is, they should be something good with a Turnover machine in Sanchez, Giroud, and Cech(Former Chelsea hero I will add(You’re welcome you Gooners)) these team should be good. The defense needs some new improvements but it is still formidable.

In conclusion, Chelsea have a lot to gain this season. As a die hard Pensioner fan, I see the top 4 being the goal for us this season. Champions League is needed to sign the likes of Greizmann and Morata.
